The second pillar fragrance from MATTEO PARFUMS, Lovers' Dew™ is inspired by the question, "What would a luxurious Aztec fine fragrance smell like today?", and the sensual relationship between light and water—and the stunning folklore around the world that centers both. Perfumer & Founder, Matthew J. Sánchez, creates Lovers' Dew™ to imagine a luminous, modern, Aztec aquatic scent that also highlights the cherished, fun, and fantasy dynamic of water and light.
Poetically created to celebrate a contemporary imagining of ancient Maya and Aztec in the fine fragrance and beauty space, Lovers' Dew™ is a time-traveling, multicultural dream.
Layered with brightening top notes featuring Baies de Genièvre (juniper berry) and California Pomelo, coupled with Aztec Tuna de Nopal (prickly pear), Lovers' Dew™ opens with an explosion of fresh, juicy ripples. The heart then takes over, introducing us to beautiful hues of cerulean, chrome, and cream: Petrichor for a mineral, wet stone inflection and opulent facets of clean Sea Salt. This rich, rugged profile is then masterfully complemented with a Coastal Bouquet accord shining with bright white florals, tropical florals, and lavender. As the tide settles, sensual base notes appear. Engorged with warm amber undertones of Oaxacan Copal Wood, riveting Ambergris, and rays of Solar Musk. The Beautiful Blue: Naturally dyed from native indigo and azure bio-materials, each bottle may vary in shades of blue and some settling is normal.
